8. Description: I was approaching the starting line on port and I was passing behind starboard tackers. A-mover was approaching on stb. Suddenly A-2 was bearing away onto me. I luffed and tacked immediately as he continued to bear away.... I got a penalty for rule 13 and then suddenly the boats jumped and A2-mover was 1 boat length away from me..... I think the penalty was due to excessive lag and i asked to cancel.
A2-Mover refused to cancel so I did my turn and continued. A2-Mover left from the race.
For the above reason i think my score was made worse and therefore i ask redress also under SI 3.5.1.a

On behalf of A2-Mover (Morten). he is very sorry - and it was a wrong button push! A2-Mover is extremely sorry for what it is worth - and A2 retired right after the incident. A2-Mover and the whole Jedi team hope you can forgive this incident - it will not happen again!

Facts:
Steviekouris got a penalty from the VSK umpire as a consequence of extra ordinary lag, which he requested to be cancelled.
The cancellation was refused by A2-Mover.
Steviekouris took his penalty turn and finished in 6th place.
At the time of the incident, he was just behind Zez who finished in 4th place.

Conclusion:
The penalty was not correct and a cancellation is justified.
Steviekouris to be given 5 points as redress.
A2-Mover to be scored DSQ in the race.
